V Wine Salon is the epitome of the French wine bar experience.

Located in a beautiful heritage-listed building in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, cosy seats, high ceilings and modern decor reminiscent of Paris-by-night are paired with friendly, knowledgeable and professional service.
 

Our story begins with our irrepressibly creative and passionate co-founder and director Vianney Establet. Vianney was born in prime Bordeaux terroir with wine in his veins, coming from a family of winemakers going back five generations, and honed his craft as a sommelier for over a decade in some of the finest restaurants and private clubs around the world. After two years at our original site in Abbotsford, we moved into our flagship CBD site in the historic Donkey Wheel House on Bourke Street, Melbourne and welcomed our multi-talented general manager and co-owner Valentine Kuzniewski-Lebrun into the executive team. Valentine, whose family's legacy in wine hails from the prestigious regions of Champagne and Provence, has extensive experience in vineyards and wine retail in Australia and internationally.

We pride ourselves on our eclectic wine list, select craft beers, original cocktails and an impressive selection of gourmet cheeses and other French nibbles making V the perfect venue for catching up with friends, dates, groups and after-work drinks. Wine to take home is also available from our boutique.​

V Wine Salon brings to life our philosophy and ideas about food and wine: that amazing wine should be accessible, that hospitality should be about people, and that artists and small scale producers should be celebrated.
